TOBY MCPHEETERS is the owner, director and manager of the studio. She has owned and operated her own studio for the last 51 years. Toby has studied dance from such world renowned teachers as Edna McRae, Fronie Asher, Robert Bell, Nathalie Krassovska, Arthur Mitchell , Marjorie Tallchief, Victor Moreno, Randelyn Kaye, Nancy Cross, and Fernando Schaffenberg. As a Board member of the Dallas Dance Council for 20 years, she has served as Vice-President and Treasurer. She is has been Vice-President of Philanthropy, on the Board of the Richardson Council of the Arts, and is Co-Director of the children in the Moscow Ballet, “Great Russsian Nutcracker” In November of 2007 she was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Dallas Dance Council.
LAURA MCPHEETERS GLENN has taught at Toby’s for the past 37 years. She has danced with the Texas Civic Ballet, Dance Repertory Theatre and Dallas Civic Ballet. She has received scholarships to Robert Jeoffry Workshops and Choreographers Conference. Laura has studied with many world renowned teachers, such as George Skibine, Majorie Tallchief, Nathalie Krassovska, Arthur Mitchell, Myrtha Rosello, Victor Moreno, Nancy Cross, and Randelyn Kaye. She has taught for the Richardson Childrens Theatre and has choreographed for the Garland Summer Musicals. Laura and her husband Chuck, teach ballroom for the Marriage Boot Camp, Dallas Symphony, the Stampede Team at Pierce, the recreation centers and at various churches. Laura teaches Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Combination Classes and Ballroom.
CAROL J. CROOK - Her dance training includes Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, and Ballet. A Dallas native she has studied with dancers and choeographers such as Joe Tremaine, Joe Lanteri, Susie Tayler, Buster Cooper, Phil Black, Gil Stroming, Lisa Hopkins, Louie Depron, Frank Hatchet, Rhonda Miller, Michelle Asolf, Doug Caldwell, Carol Connors & Keith Clifton.
Her performance credits include TV work for Universal Studios in Hollywood, and Vegas-type shows in Century City. Carol has taught for the Ohio Dance Masters Convention in Atlanta Ga. And TATD in Biloxi MS. Carol was called to sub for Dance Master Buster Cooper, who was her teacher, as well as being his long time assistant.
She owned and operated the Plano Academy of Dance for 21 years. Her dancers she has trained have won numerous titles, scholarships and Regional dancer awards at NYC Dance Alliance, LA Danceforce, Tremaine Conventions, CoDance, and Break the Floor. Many have pursued professional careers, owning their own studios and dancing in LA. Carol will teach all areas of study in her third year of teaching for us.
There is a non-refundable yearly registration fee of $40 per student due with enrollment.

All tuition is payable in advance on the first of each month. The monthly tuition rate remains the same each month although the number of lessons received may vary from month to month. There is no price reduction for lessons missed or bad weather days. On days of severe ice and snow, check with the studio answering service for possible cancellation of classes.

A Recital will be presented at the end of the year in the Eisemann Center, 2351 Performance Dr. in Richardson. There will be a costume charge of $75 per class due with October tuition. In January there will be a $50 per student recital fee due. Tickets to the recital must be purchased.
Our students age 8 & up have the audition opportunity to participate in The Moscow Ballet "Nutcracker" at McFarlin Auditorium on the SMU Campus, on November 18th and 19th, 201.
